The Japanese brand Kitpas has been making high-quality chalks for over 80 years. What started as a company specializing in dust-free school chalk, has grown over time into a market leader in the field of innovative and sustainable wax crayons. For example, Kitpas has been recycling scallops – a residual product from local fisheries – into blackboard chalk since 1976. In 2005, Kitpas developed a collection of wax crayons with two special properties: by adding water, this chalk creates a watercolor effect and the wax crayons are suitable as window chalk.
